How do I get a Home Care Package?

The Home Care Package (HCP) program is a Commonwealth government-subsidised program that provides long-term support for older people who want to stay living within their own home in the comfort and familiarity of their own community.


There are four levels of HCP for different levels of care and support needs. Each level received a different amount of funding. This money can be used towards hours of care or other support that suits your needs.

There are 5 easy steps to getting a Home Care Package:

1. Contact allcare on 1300 377 074 for a free in-home consultation

2. Register with My Aged Care or start privately-funded services

3. Have your needs assessed for free by the Aged Care Assessment Team

4. Join the National Priority Queue. Your package allocated to you based on your level of need.

5. Stay happy and in control, ageing in your own home.
